Eligibility

You are eligible for membership at Brazosport Teachers Federal Credit Union (BTFCU) if you work (past, present, full-time, or part-time) for Brazosport Independent School District, Brazosport College, or Angleton Independent School District.

You are also eligible for membership if your immediate family member* is a current member or if you are a student of BISD who has successfully completed a financial education course endorsed by the credit union.**

Become a Member

  1. Provide a current valid picture ID.
This includes: Driver’s License or State-issued identification card with current address
  2. Provide a secondary piece of identification.
This includes: Credit or Debit Card issued in your name, Employee ID with photo, Student ID, or Utility Bill.
  3. Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) is required.

Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account

Please note, to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see and maintain records of your driver’s license and/or other identifying documents on file.

Please feel free to contact one of our knowledgeable representatives at 979-265-5333 for more information about membership eligibility.
